This was such a gorgeous wedding... I don't know how the editors could pick just a few details to highlight. skating project

This from the 2009 Bloomington Ice Garden show this weekend. Usually when I'm shooting skating I'm actually on the ice with the skater but for shows I must shoot from behind the boards. Gives me a whole new appreciation for sports photographers.

reception

I'm on good terms with my tripod but somehow I always end up liking the hand-held shots best.  Here I am at probably 1/15 sec and wide open.  Can you smell the champagne?
